It Must Be Said Out Loud!

I LOVED Michael Jackson! There, I've said it. I've loved him for a long time. I refuse to believe all the horrible stuff that's been reported about him being a perverted child molester. My opinion is and has always been that he was stunted in his growth and remained a little boy inside---naive and innocent---and at times---just plain stupid. He should have learned his lesson about having young boys over. But isn't that typical of a little boy---lack of judgement?

There's a book coming out soon that was already in the works prior to Michael's death. I'll definitely be buying it. The author has stated that he started the book project trying to get to the real dirt of the child molestation allegations. No matter how hard he "dug", he came up empty-handed. I'm glad. Now that he's gone, perhaps he'll be remembered for the genius that he was. True, he was definitely eccentric. But aren't most geniuses? Granted, he looked like a freak at the end and for a long time before. But, boy, he could still sing and dance. I can't wait for the album that was to be his return to come out. I'll be one of the first to buy it.

There's no doubt that he loved his kids. I hope that they don't get lost in the very world that Michael tried to protect them from.

I love you Michael---and I'll miss you! I just had to say it out loud!

  1. I loved him too, Barb. The cd I was telling you about is called "Number Ones" and it has 18 songs on it.

  2. I mean how could you not like MJ? I always told people if I ever had the chance to go to one of his concerts I would go. I'm sure one of his shows would of been amazing!

  3. Amen!!! I still remember Leah and I sitting in our living room listening to the Thriller album and staring at his face on the cover. He was super talented and could definitely entertain! I don't think anybody can judge him since none of us has walked in his shoes. The stories of his dad make you understand a bit as to why he wanted to look different. I watched his memorial and was so touched by Brooke Shields' speech. Everybody who spoke of him that day thought highly of him and helped people see the human side of Michael Jackson. He will truly be missed and it makes me sad to think of what a lonely soul he really was.

  4. I totally agree! The guy was a musical/dancing genius. Remember when he "moonwalked" across the stage at the Mtv awards? It was amazing! I just bought a CD of his called "The Essential Michael Jackson" and it has every song by him that I can remember, including some "Jackson 5" hits. There are 38 songs total, and I've been listening to them nonstop. Greg came home the other night and turned it off as I was cooking dinner, and when I said "hey, why'd you do that!?", he said, "I just can't take it any more"! I've since then moved the CDs to the car. Now I'm just driving the kids (mostly Mitchell) crazy with the music. I have to skip over "Thriller" though because the part at the end where Vincent Price talks freaks my girls out. And unfortunately this is the only song that Mitchell "kind of" likes.
